I've had a very tumultuous relationship with this song:
This song came to me in a dream (the chorus did, at least). I immediately woke up that morning and went straight to my studio to record the chorus (all of those initial recordings from that morning, including the vocals, made it into the final version, which is pretty cool). However, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to develop the song further, so I shelved it. Then, I eventually ended up dreaming the song AGAIN, this time the pre-chorus coming to me. This completely revitalized the song, and I decided the universe was telling me that I absolutely needed to finish this song, so I did. I was still doubtful of this song even when I finished it, but it's now grown to be one of my favorites on the track list.
