This was one of few songs that I wrote completely on the acoustic guitar. Wrote the whole song in a couple of hours, full well knowing what I wanted the end product to sound like once recorded. Since I had the vision, recording the song was a breeze, and I wrapped it within a couple days. The lyrics are basically a journal entry. I wasn't really going for any specific lyrical theme, other than to be as open and vulnerable as possible about how I was feeling in that moment. I thought the lyric "[Tryna] find the real me" would make a good album title, and kind of represents my journey with music since I started doing it 6 years ago.
